Baan Extensions - Data Migration

S e’s Data Migration Toolkit can be used to load data from any system to Baan or from any version of Baan to any other version, or to any other enterprise system. It reads data from ASCII files loads it to an interim table and then, after validation and clean-up, loads the data into Baan IV or Baan ERP. The tool-kit is available for Baan IV and Baan ERP. The scripts for the various subject areas can be purchased a-la-carte.

Our tool-kit for Baan IV contains scripts to load data for Customers, Suppliers, Item Master, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and General Ledger. Also available are automated extract scripts to download data from MANMAN (HP & VAX).

The tool-kit for Baan ERP contains scripts to load data for Business Partners, Addresses, Accounts Receivables, Item Master, Sales and Purchase Orders, Accounts Payables and General Ledger. The Baan ERP version also contains a reference data finder tool to print a Multi-dimensional BOM type report that depicts the order of dependency in which the data needs to be populated for a given subject area.

Reports provide the following information:

• Print Multi-level BOM type report to show the dependencies between tables and which of those needs to be loaded first.
• List of errors that occurred during the upload process.
