Baan Extensions - Shipping Manifest Interface System

Se's Shipping Manifest Interface integrates third party manifest systems with Baan, on-line, real-time. The interface automatically transfers order data from Baan to your Manifest system, then returns the weight, freight, weighbill number and any other relevant data to Baan allowing you to complete your Baan order including accurate, real-time shipping data.

The Interface system creates ASCII files for specified Sales Orders. The files are imported into your Manifest system. The Manifest system calculates freight charges and integrates them back to Baan, with a unique Tracking number for each delivery. The correct freight charges are included in Baan’s order total. Both the freight charges and the tracking number are held in Baan, and can be printed on your order acknowledgement and invoice.

When the interface is activated from the Baan Session, it generates an ASCII file with the relevant Baan sales order information. Your Manifest system reads the inbound ASCII file, performs its functions, and updates the outbound ASCII file with freight details and tracking number. The Baan interface imports the freight and tracking data and this is available during further processing of the sales transaction.
